The fire that had remained active for several days in the border area between Macedonia and Kosovo has been completely neutralized. According to Angelov, there is no longer any burning on either side of the border, so the fire is not expected to cause further pollution in Skopje.

The fire near Miletina reignited overnight, but firefighting teams brought it fully under control in the early morning hours. However, due to high temperatures, the possibility of it reigniting cannot be ruled out.

Meanwhile, the fire in Staro Nagoriçan, which had spread across a large area, was completely extinguished early in the morning. The most problematic fire of the day is located near Ramno, on Skopska Crna Gora. A police helicopter is assisting in the operation, while several teams from “National Forests” and 30 members of the Army have been deployed.

The fire near Belica in Makedonski Brod also remains active. Local firefighters are on the ground in terrain that is difficult to access and, in some parts, completely impassable, Angellov explained.

Angelov warned that the situation could change during the day due to high temperatures and urged citizens to exercise the utmost caution./Telegrafi/
