The flames have engulfed dozens of hectares of forest, olive groves, orchards and agricultural crops in Dragot, Tepelena, causing considerable damage and increasing the risk of the fire spreading further.

Teams from the Tepelena, Gjirokastër and Libohovë Fire and Rescue Services, as well as the Armed Forces, are at the scene. The authorities are working continuously to contain the fire and protect homes, citizens’ property and other green areas.
The situation remains serious, and residents in the area are urged to exercise maximum caution, stay away from the fire fronts and follow the instructions of the emergency services.
