Filipçe: Vučić’s fall is weakening the Balkan criminal network and will affect ties with Mickoski

Venko Filipçe, leader of the SDSM, said at a press conference today that Aleksandar Vučić’s weakening is also bringing down the criminal network in the Balkans. According to him, this situation will lead to the resolution of all criminal links connected to Hristijan Mickoski.

Filipçe said that Vučić had been Mickoski’s mentor and commander, while his style of governing had been copied in North Macedonia through the intertwining of political, business and media relationships.

“VMRO-DPMNE is essentially a smaller party, an extension of their sister party, SNS, from Serbia. Aleksandar Vučić was his mentor and commander, the person who gave Hristijan Mickoski instructions on how he should act here, in our country. Unfortunately, he implemented that system in our country with great success,” Filipçe said.

According to the SDSM leader, his statements about developments in Serbia concern democratic changes in the region and the weakening of the criminal network that keeps Mickoski in power. After this process, he said, the moment of accountability would also come.

“Are we celebrating someone else’s elections? No. We are celebrating the arrival of the democratic wave in the region. The business, political and media ties of Aleksandar Vučić, as well as those of Viktor Orbán until recently, are the networks that sustain Hristijan Mickoski’s regime here. They keep us captive, in media darkness and under a powerful and corrupt regime. This reality is now gradually approaching its end,” Filipçe said.

He also mentioned the entry of Alta Bank into the country and the expansion of Serbian media, describing them as part of the same influence scheme. Filipçe added that the division of the opposition was another element of the governing model adopted from Vučić. /Telegrafi/
