Minister for Relations between Communities Agon Ferati held a meeting with Austria’s ambassador to North Macedonia, Martin Pamer. The discussion addressed the country’s European integration process and the role of decentralization in strengthening local institutions.

According to a statement from the ministry, Austria expressed its support for North Macedonia’s European path, while the need to continue reforms was also emphasized.
Part of the discussion focused on building trust in a multiethnic and multiconfessional society. Ambassador Pamer also praised the organization of the event held to mark the 25th anniversary of the Ohrid Framework Agreement, highlighting its contribution to coexistence and social cohesion, the statement from the Ministry for Relations between Communities said.
Ferati and Pamer also considered opportunities to expand cooperation through projects involving nongovernmental organizations from both countries.
The parties assessed that cooperation in this sector could help consolidate democracy, promote youth inclusion, strengthen trust and foster the development of ethnic communities.
