A summer day turned into a tragic end to the lives of two minor girls, just 9 and 11 years old, who went into the sea to swim without knowing they would be their final moments.
The serious incident happened at midday on Friday, June 19, at Tales beach in Lezhë, where the waves took the lives of the two children, leaving behind deep pain, tears, and many unanswered questions.

“The minors were my aunt’s daughter. The girl begged me a lot that day to go. I had never let her go before; it was the first time.
The parents of the 9-year-old, the other minor, are in shock. The girls went in without telling anyone; the girl’s aunt was with her.
When it happened I was in Durrës, they informed me that the girls were not well. My sister-in-law was with her husband,” he said.
In addition to the great pain it carries, the family is also facing severe economic difficulties and unsuitable living conditions. Amid this tragedy, an appeal for help has also been made in support of the three other children, who continue their lives facing major challenges.
