A joint investigative team comprising the duty public prosecutor from the Basic Public Prosecutor’s Office in Skopje, an expert and teams from the Ministry of Internal Affairs inspected the scene of the serious accident on the Ilinden-Milladinovc municipal road. The incident was recorded near the Brest police station, within the territory of Skopje International Airport.

According to information from the Prosecutor’s Office, the crash occurred at around 2:00 a.m. An Opel Corsa with Kumanovo license plates, driven by a 19-year-old from Kumanovo, collided with a Hyundai i30 driven by a 51-year-old from Marino.
The crash was fatal for the Hyundai driver and his 18-year-old son, who died at the scene. The family’s 18-year-old daughter was seriously injured. The Corsa driver and the 18-year-old passenger traveling with him also sustained serious injuries; both were taken to hospital in life-threatening condition.
The public prosecutor ordered autopsies for the two victims. Meanwhile, authorities are continuing investigative procedures to determine the causes of the accident.
