Details from the tragic crash in Cërrik: Two lives lost, one seriously injured

A serious road accident has shaken the Mollas–Gostimë axis, within the municipality of Cërrik, where two vehicles were involved in a fatal collision. According to the police’s preliminary report, the incident resulted in the death of two people and the injury of another.

Authorities inform that the incident involved a car driven by citizen S. M., 38 years old, and another driven by Qemal Çala, around 63 years old. The collision resulted in severe consequences for the driver of the second vehicle, Q. Ç., who died at the scene. Unfortunately, the young Drilon Tabaku, about 22 years old, who was traveling as a passenger with him, also lost his life.

Sajmir Muça, the 38-year-old who was behind the wheel of the other vehicle, was also injured in the crash. He was immediately taken to the hospital, where he is receiving specialized treatment and his condition is being closely monitored by doctors.

Immediately after the alert, police forces and the investigative team arrived at the scene. Under the supervision of the Prosecutor’s Office, they have begun procedures for securing evidence and fully documenting the circumstances, with the aim of clarifying the causes that led to this tragedy.

The victims have been officially identified as citizens Qemal Çala, 63 years old, and Drilon Tabaku, 22 years old.
