A 65-year-old man from the Strumica village of Shtuka died following a road accident yesterday on the local road connecting the villages of Shtuka and Turnovo.

According to the Ministry of Interior, the collision was reported to the Strumica Police Department at 10:40. It involved an unregistered Tomos moped driven by M.D. (65) from Shtuka and a Fiat Punto passenger vehicle with Strumica license plates, driven by D.D. (29), also a resident of the village.
M.D. sustained serious injuries and was taken to the General Hospital in Strumica for treatment. Despite medical intervention, he died at 13:00.
The scene of the accident was examined by a team from the Strumica Police Department.
