Explosive blast in municipal employee’s car: Who is the 43-year-old arrested? Three others wanted (NAME)

Police have clarified the circumstances of an incident on November 5 in the “28 Nëntori” neighborhood of Elbasan, where explosives were placed in a vehicle owned by municipal employee A.D.

As part of an operation codenamed “Porosia,” a 43-year-old man from Durrës has been detained, while three others are wanted by police.

Ervis Tivar, 43, was arrested on suspicion of providing the vehicle used to carry out the bombing.

Meanwhile, police are seeking O.E., 36, and M.A., 33, both residents of Elbasan, as well as a 17-year-old identified by the initials B.N., who lives in Durrës.

According to preliminary investigations, the four are suspected of working together to organize and plant the explosives in A.D.’s vehicle.

Elbasan: Police have clarified the circumstances of the incident on 05.11.2026 in the “28 Nëntori” neighborhood, where explosives were placed in a vehicle owned by A.D.

The police operation codenamed “Porosia” has been concluded.

One suspect has been identified and detained, while three others are wanted.

Crime investigation specialists from the Elbasan Police Commissariat, continuing their intensive investigation into the incident on 05.11.2026 at around 02:00 in the “28 Nëntori” neighborhood, where a vehicle owned by A.D. was damaged by explosives, organized and concluded the police operation codenamed “Porosia” in cooperation with the Durrës Local Police Directorate.

In-depth investigative work, statements obtained and a review of video footage enabled police to document the incident with evidence and detain:

E.T., 43, a resident of Durrës, who is suspected of providing the vehicle used to carry out the incident.

Police also issued wanted notices for:

O.E., 36; M.A., 33, both residents of Elbasan; and B.N., 17, a resident of Durrës.

Investigators suspect that these individuals worked together to organize and plant the explosives in the vehicle owned by A.D.

In cooperation with the Prosecutor’s Office, work continues to apprehend those wanted and identify any other people who may have been involved in the incident.

The case materials will be referred to the Prosecutor’s Office at the Elbasan Court of First Instance of General Jurisdiction for the offenses of “Destruction of property by explosives,” committed in cooperation, and “Unauthorized possession and production of weapons, explosive weapons and ammunition.”
