Following the capture of wanted fugitive Ergys Agasi in a police operation, the justice authorities immediately launched the relevant procedures.
Journalist Klodiana Lala reported that Agasi is currently being questioned by officers from the National Bureau of Investigation. He is then expected to appear before the Special Court against Corruption and Organized Crime, where he will be formally notified of the “detention in custody” security measure.

Ulian Shpataraku, a former police official considered a trusted associate of former police director Ilir Proda, was also arrested as part of the same operation.
According to Lala, the Special Prosecution Office has expanded its investigation to include other individuals or associates suspected of supporting Agasi while he was on the run. Searches and operational measures are continuing to identify and apprehend them.
