In speeches delivered during the protest, organizers urged citizens to increase their participation so that the community’s opposition would be even stronger. They also appealed to the MPs representing the area in Parliament, calling on them to support residents and vote against the proposal, which protesters say would set Divjakë back several decades.

Residents said they would continue protesting until the final day, with the aim of preventing Parliament from approving the bill that provides for the dissolution of 15 municipalities.

The 26th evening of resistance concluded, as on previous nights, with a march through Divjakë’s main streets. During the march, residents repeated their calls against undermining the municipality’s local autonomy.
