During the rally in the town square, protesters said they would not end their action until they received a positive response to their demand.
Although the number of participants was limited, the speakers expressed their determination to continue the protest until Divjaka remains a separate municipality, in its current form.
The residents have also appealed to the area’s MPs, including Divjaka MP and MP Erjon Braçe, who has won three terms in the area, to publicly voice their support for their demand.
After the rally ended, the protesters marched through the city’s streets, repeating the slogans: “Divjaka municipality” and “Divjaka belongs to its citizens, not traitors.”
