Residents said they would not accept the proposal of the Socialist Party to dissolve the Municipality of Divjaka and merge it with the Municipality of Lushnja. They argued that the area has built its identity over the years, while its economic indicators are significantly higher compared with those of several other municipalities that are not expected to be removed from the administrative map.
The gathering ended, as on previous nights, with a march along the city’s main roads. Protesters repeated the chants “Divjaka Municipality!”, “We decide here!” and “Arrest Rama!”, making clear that they would continue their resistance and would not back down from their demands.
