Democratic Party leader Sali Berisha was also asked during a conversation with his followers on social media whether the State Intelligence Service, while headed by Vlora Hyseni, had wiretapped opposition figures.

Berisha said that SHISH had surveilled and recorded the opposition and its opponents, but had also wiretapped Socialist Party officials and diplomatic representatives, thereby, according to him, violating international treaties.
“The intelligence service headed by Ergys Agasi not only recorded and surveilled the opposition and its opponents, but there is complete information that it wiretapped officials, ministers and MPs of the party in power, the party of crime in power. There is equally complete information that it wiretapped all foreign embassies and services in Albania. In this way, it trampled on the Vienna Convention and violated the international treaties to which Albania is a party. And these facts will come to light.
We denounced them at the time, and we denounce them again today, because wiretapping diplomatic services in Albania and monitoring the movements of foreigners in a NATO-allied country can only be done for hostile purposes toward these countries, threatening their security and the security of the people being wiretapped,” Berisha said.
Berisha also said that Vlora Hyseni had been photographed entering Ergys Agasi’s villa.
“Digital citizens sent me a photograph of Vlora Hyseni entering Ergys Agasi’s residence, his villa. I have not published it because I do not know whether she is married or not, and I have a rule that I do not get involved in such disputes. I have heard her say that they did not meet, but they did meet, and the photo was sent to me by a digital citizen. I am talking about the villa, not the office, because people have been talking about his office. They were inseparable,” Berisha said.
