Aleksandar Vuçiç addressed the citizens of Serbia after polling stations closed for the parliamentary elections, in which Serbian citizens had the opportunity to choose one of 18 electoral lists, with a total of 2,418 candidates running for 250 seats in parliament.
Aleksandar Vuçiq, head of the “United Serbia” list, said that the students’ list had won the largest number of seats in the election, based on a stratified sample of the results, Albeu.com reports.

“We do not have the final results. Many will be surprised, and you will understand how much some people lied and what they fabricated. I want to inform you that, based on a stratified sample, it is clear that we lost this election. The student-blockers’ list won; they will have between 135 and 140 seats, while we have around 105. No one else entered parliament. Ultimately, yes, the Hungarians of Vojvodina entered with 3 seats, and the Albanians with one seat, and by that I mean the SDA—do not take my word for it. So, we have somewhere around 1,720,000, I am telling you based on the sample; it is completely irrelevant. They have around 2,200,000,” Vucic said.
A total of 6,451,292 registered voters were eligible to vote in the election, and voting took place at 8,392 polling stations. Voting lasted from 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., and vote counting began after the polling stations closed. /albeu.com/
