The citizens’ protest continues today, entering its 71st day, against the government and the political class. As on every other day, citizens are expected to gather in Skanderbeg Square before marching toward the Prime Minister’s Office.

The protesters’ main demand is the resignation of Prime Minister Edi Rama.
The protest initially began in opposition to the construction of a tourist resort in Zvërnec, but over time it has grown and evolved into a protest with clear political demands.
During the march and rally, protesters chant against the main leaders of Albanian politics, with “Rama in prison, Berisha in prison” among the slogans repeatedly heard.
Protesters say they will continue holding rallies in the coming days, demanding political change and the prime minister’s removal from office.
