LZHK leader Dashamir Shehi has commented on the student protest, criticizing Prime Minister Rama’s invitation to dialogue. For two consecutive days, Rama placed several chairs on the steps of the prime minister’s office and invited the young people to join him.
He mocked the chair display, describing it as a pointless gesture and saying that “some fool close to him may have advised him to do it.”

According to Shehi, this is Rama making a mockery of Albanians.
“What is this, the Gramsh variety show?! Who is this man making fun of? He thinks Albanians are idiots! They put out a few chairs and say, sit here, because who knows which of those fools around him told him, ‘This is a brilliant idea, boss, do it, it’s wonderful.’ Who are you making fun of?! Is that a place to put chairs?!” Shehi said.
He said he opposed violent protests, arguing that the moment people pick up stones, politics is dead.
“My view on the protest is that I do not approve of violence at all. Some people say, pick up a stone. No. The day people pick up stones, politics has failed; politics must take the lead. If people pick up stones, guns, the devil and all his works… God forbid, politics is dead. Then it is a job for the police, a job for the military,” Dashamir Shehi said on the program “Të Paekspozuarit.”
