Crisis Management Center: Five Wildfires Remain Active, Field Operations Have Not Stopped

The Crisis Management Center said that, as of 1 p.m., a total of seven fires had been recorded in open areas.

Of these, five fires remain active in the municipalities of Gostivar, Rankovce, Kratovo, Bitola and Old Nagorichane.

Meanwhile, the fires recorded in Vinica and Negotino have been brought under control. The flames have mainly affected low vegetation, shrubs, mixed forests, hay and areas containing waste.

The responsible teams are continuing their monitoring and fieldwork to contain the fires and prevent them from spreading. Authorities are calling on citizens to exercise increased caution, as high temperatures raise the risk of fires spreading.
