Court reveals dynamics of the event in Livoç: he first shot his wife in the car

The Basic Court has ordered one month of detention for V.R., who is suspected of killing his wife and her brother, while also wounding two other people in the village of Livoç i Ultë in Gjilan.

The serious incident occurred on Friday, October 9, at around 14:21.

According to the file, on 09.10.2026, at around 14:21, in the village of Livoç i Ultë, V.R. is suspected that, following a dispute for still unknown motives, he took the life of his wife, N.B., as well as her brother, E.B. He is also suspected of seriously wounding M.B. and endangering the life of R.B.

The description of the event states that the defendant had initially traveled with his wife toward the village of Pozheran in the Municipality of Vitia, to go to her family. Both returned immediately toward Gjilan, while M.B. and R.B., together with E.B., traveled behind them in an Opel Combo pickup van, with license plates 239-HM, with the intention of talking.

When they entered the village of Livoç i Ultë, the three people overtook V.R.’s vehicle and stopped to wait for him. However, he continued toward Gjilan in a black Tiguan, with license plates 06-767-HK.

While driving, according to the claims included in the file, V.R. used a Beretta-type weapon, with serial number PX321722, and from close range shot toward his wife, who was in the front seat, on the passenger side. N.B. lost her life as a result of the shots.

Afterward, the suspect returned via another road and stopped his vehicle behind the pickup where M.B., R.B., and E.B. were. After they got out of the vehicle, he got out holding the weapon and told them: “I lost my life because I killed my wife, and I will kill you too.”

Immediately after that, he shot toward them. R.B. managed to flee, while M.B. was wounded and managed to take shelter in the yard of a house. E.B. could not escape and, after V.R. fired several times toward him, died at the scene.

After the crime, V.R. is suspected of taking N.B.’s lifeless body in the Tiguan to the yard of the Regional Hospital of Gjilan, near the emergency entrance, where he left it. He then turned himself in to the police.
