Florian Qehaja, Kosovo’s ambassador to North Macedonia, said the start of construction on the Skopje–Blace motorway was the result of a long period of commitment and advocacy.

Speaking to the media, he stressed that the road would enable the citizens of Kosovo to connect to Corridor 8.
“Today marks the inauguration of one of the main objectives of our cooperation, concerning connectivity and mobility. More specifically, after many years of commitment, advocacy and lobbying on our part as well, we are marking the start of work on the Skopje–Blace motorway. It will connect with the final section of the ‘Arbën Xhaferi’ motorway and link the citizens of Kosovo to Corridor 8…” Qehaja said.
He added that this motorway segment was also particularly important for bilateral relations between the two countries.
