“Albin, come to parliament. Come and let’s vote on the law,” Çitaku wrote in a Facebook post.
She urged Kurti to avoid inciting tensions, while accusing him of instructing the police to use violence against protesters.
However, Çitaku provided no evidence for her claim that Kurti had ordered the police to intervene against the protesters.
“Today, we don’t need clashes. We don’t need tensions. We don’t need violence. We need responsibility. We need calm. We need political courage,” she said.
According to Çitaku, Kurti has a duty to be in parliament, listen to citizens and vote. She linked the adoption of the legal amendments to the protection of the KLA and those who fought in its ranks. / REL
