“It will not take the presidency without a consensual position, regardless of who holds what position, because it is a figure that should reflect unity, not the party. We will work to prevent the Republic of Kosovo from becoming a party-state,” Tahiri said.
According to him, a political agreement cannot be reached at a time when Parliament has still not been constituted.
Referring to the blocking of MPs’ entry into Parliament, Tahiri questioned the basis on which a political agreement was being sought.
“How can there be a political agreement when Parliament has not been constituted? On what logic can a political agreement be reached when we have been prevented from entering Parliament and Parliament does not exist as a constituted body—on what basis?” he said.
MPs from the PDK and the Alliance tried to enter the parliamentary chamber again today, but it was closed to them.
