During a visit to Korçë, the leader of the Democratic Party issued the first invitation to prepare for the 2027 local election race.
Berisha: As a political force, we aim to build a broad opposition front and are open to candidate proposals. I also invite representatives of the protest to submit their names, which we will consider.
The leader of the Democratic Party also expressed support for holding local elections in two rounds, so that the leadership of municipalities goes to the candidate who wins the majority of votes.
Berisha: I support a runoff in local elections. The elected candidate must have an absolute majority of voters’ votes.
On Saturday, Berisha invited the opposition’s traditional allies to a meeting, with the aim of opening discussions on the local elections.
