“I am here today to ask the United States for support in confronting the narco-state. In March 1991, I came to ask for help in overthrowing the communist dictatorship. Today, my request to the country that has given Albanians so much is that it help us escape the narco-state in our homeland. I have great confidence that Albanians will receive this support. Albania needs to rise again and expects us to restore its values. Today, your country has become an experimental laboratory for the ideas of the extreme left,” Berisha declared.
