The governing coalition led by VMRO-DPMNE has officially welcomed the Democratic Party of Turks in Macedonia (TDP), bringing the number of seats in Parliament to 59, INA reports.

With this move, MP Bejxhan Iljas, who previously ran under the banner of the “European Front” coalition of the Democratic Union for Integration (BDI), now becomes part of the parliamentary majority.
Born in Tetovo on May 23, 1976, Iljas is a specialized doctor at the Clinical Hospital of the city, after completing his studies at the Faculty of Medicine of “Selçuk” University in Konya, Turkey. Politically, he has previously led the TDP, served as a councilor in the Municipality of Tearce, and currently holds the position of vice-president of this party. /INA/
