According to the announcement, Hamza thanked Riho Terras for his continued commitment and for the European Parliament’s latest report on Kosovo. He particularly welcomed the confirmation that Kosovo’s future lies in the European Union, as well as support for Kosovo’s application for membership.
Hamza and Terras viewed the European Parliament report as an important message of support for Kosovo, but also as a call for the country not to lose any more time because of internal political crises and delays in making the institutions functional.
The PDK leader stressed that the Democratic Party of Kosovo shares the concern expressed in the report over the inability to create fully functional institutions for a long period.
He underlined that Kosovo needs functional institutions that make decisions, implement reforms and rebuild trust with international partners.
“Stability should not mean only the formation of institutions, but also democratic governance, political dialogue and respect for the Constitution,” Hamza said.
Bedri Hamza also expressed gratitude for the role of MEP Riho Terras and the European Parliament, describing them as strong supporters of Kosovo and of our aspirations for membership in the European Union.
During the day, Terras also held a meeting with Kosovo’s Acting President, Albulena Haxhiu.
