Acting Minister of Infrastructure and Transport Dimal Basha was in the north of the country today, where he closely assessed the condition of the Mitrovica–Jarinje road and also visited the Leshak Bridge.
According to Basha, the road axis toward Jarinje has undergone repairs, but because of its importance for residents and public safety, it is planned to be rehabilitated and widened during the coming year wherever technical conditions allow.

While at the Leshak Bridge, he said that the bridge has suffered major damage as a result of flooding and that its condition poses a risk to its stability.
“For this reason, we will discuss with the designers the construction of a new bridge, which will provide better access and greater safety for the residents of that area.
In Jarinje, I also stopped to greet our border officials. On this occasion, I thanked them for their professional service, dedication and tireless work.
The Kurti government has invested heavily in security in the north, and now we are also investing in infrastructure. Because for us, Kosovo is one and indivisible — both in security and in investments,” Basha wrote on Facebook.
