Former Deputy Prime Minister Belinda Balluku appeared today at the Special Prosecutor’s Office, where she was informed of charges related to several procurement procedures under investigation.

Her stay at SPAK premises lasted about 20 minutes before she left. During the appearance, Balluku was also notified of the three-month extension of the investigation.
SPAK announced that Balluku had been summoned to be informed of the charge, to be questioned about it, and to be notified of other procedural acts.
In addition to the new charges, she also faces an accusation of violating equality in tenders.
Meanwhile, investigations continue for corruption and money laundering related to two tenders worth over 1 million euros, conducted when Balluku was heading “Albcontrol”.
