Balje stated that she has not had a meeting with acting Prime Minister Albin Kurti before the session. She also stressed that her stances have remained unchanged since the period when the Assembly was functional, before the elections on June 7.
“I have not met with Kurti, and my stances have not changed. There has been no change between my party and VV, so I have no reason to act differently within the Assembly than I did last time,” Balje said.
Regarding the issue of the President, the deputy said that she has not yet held discussions with any political entity and that she has no information on what might happen.
“We have not yet discussed the President with any party. I do not know what will happen. There is no trust between me and VV; they do not trust the way I work, and I, too, do not trust the way they work,” she added.
As for the election of the Assembly Speaker and deputy speakers, who are expected to be put to a vote today, Balje announced that she will not vote for any of them.
