Media reports said that the Rahovec branch of the Democratic League of Kosovo (LDK) has called for elections to be held across all party structures following its performance in the latest elections. It also confirmed that it had collected the necessary signatures to convene an extraordinary Assembly aimed at dismissing party leader Lumir Abdixhiku.
Bajram Gecaj, a member of the party, reacted to “Bota sot” by welcoming the step taken by the Rahovec branch. He described it as a correct move and one in the right direction.

In a brief statement, he stressed: “A sound decision by the Rahovec Branch!”, thus giving his full support to the position of this local branch.
Gecaj’s position comes at a time when the LDK’s internal dynamics are being closely monitored, and he has chosen to openly align himself with the Rahovec branch.
It should also be noted that the LDK branch in Peja, the one in Lipjan, as well as the Second Branch in Prishtina, have publicly called for Abdixhiku’s removal. They directly link this demand to the poor election result and the need for political accountability within the party.
