Around 2,000 euros for land privatization, 24-year-old from Skopje reports fraud by former Cadastre employee

A 24-year-old woman from Skopje reported two people to the Skopje Internal Affairs Sector, claiming that they had defrauded her of 117,000 denars. The Ministry of Internal Affairs said the report was filed yesterday afternoon at 2 p.m.

In her report, the young woman said that she had met the two people on the 21st of last month. One of them had presented himself as a Cadastre employee, while both had promised to help her family purchase and privatize the state-owned land they were using.

After making several payments to the man, the 24-year-old turned to the Cadastre to request information about the case. There, she learned that he had no longer worked at the institution for more than two years, which made her realize that she had fallen victim to fraud.

Measures are being taken to shed light on the case.
