During the operation to extinguish fires in Mirditë, Armed Forces serviceman A. K. was injured while supplying water to a firefighting vehicle.

Following the incident, he was transported by helicopter to the Trauma Hospital in Tirana, where he is receiving the necessary medical care. According to the Ministry of Defense, the serviceman is being treated by a neurosurgeon and his condition is not life-threatening.
During his stay at the hospital, A. K. was visited by Minister of Defense Ermal Nufi and the Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces, Lieutenant General Arben Kingji. They were briefed firsthand on his health condition.
The Ministry of Defense said it is continuously monitoring the serviceman’s health and will continue to stand by him.
