Another Albanian woman has been killed in a tragic incident in Greece. On Mount Rodopi, a man stabbed his wife to death and then attempted to take his own life.

Initial information indicates that the couple was originally from Albania and had two children. Their eldest daughter was the one who notified the Greek National Police about the incident.
The woman was taken to hospital but died as a result of her injuries. The man, who is reportedly 58 years old, stabbed himself. He was also taken to hospital, where he is receiving treatment under supervision.
Incidents between the couple had also been recorded at the beginning of 2022, in Heraklion, Crete.
At that time, the woman had filed a complaint against her husband for threatening her, while he was later arrested as part of a roadside stop for domestic violence.
Police are continuing their investigation intensively to determine the exact circumstances in which the crime occurred.
