On August 2, 2026, at 20:54, the discovery of another mass grave in the municipality of Zubin Potok was reported, where human remains have been identified.
This is the second such site discovered in recent days in the municipality. Earlier, a mass grave believed to contain people who went missing during the 1998-1999 war was found in the village of Kalludër e Vogël.

Excavation work in Kalludër e Vogël began at the start of the week, following an investigation that lasted about two years and the arrest of two suspects by the Kosovo authorities.
In a statement published on August 2, 2026, at 20:55, the Special Prosecution of the Republic of Kosovo announced that, in cooperation with the Kosovo Police and as part of the ongoing investigation into the case in Zubin Potok, a suspicious area had been located in the village of Jabukë on August 2.
According to the Prosecution, human remains may be located at the site.
Acting in accordance with the applicable legal provisions, the Special Prosecution will submit a request to the Basic Court in Pristina for authorization to carry out an exhumation and the necessary examinations.
The Special Prosecution of the Republic of Kosovo announced that, as soon as the relevant court authorizations are secured, the necessary procedures will be undertaken in coordination with the Kosovo Police, the War Crimes Investigation Directorate, and other competent institutions.
