AMP arrests a Republic Guard employee suspected of domestic violence following his wife’s complaint

A member of the Republic Guard has been arrested for domestic violence by the Tirana Regional Directorate. The citizen with the initials H. S. was caught in flagrante and taken into custody, suspected of the criminal offense of “Domestic Violence,” as provided for under Article 130/a of the Criminal Code.

Investigative procedures began after his wife filed a complaint, alleging physical and psychological violence, as well as repeated threats.

During further procedural actions, a search was carried out at the citizen’s home, where three mobile phones considered relevant to the investigation were seized. After the evidence was collected and in cooperation with the Prosecution Office, AMP carried out the in flagrante arrest of the Republic Guard employee, while the procedural materials were referred to the Prosecution Office at the Court of First Instance of General Jurisdiction in Tirana.
