Acting President of the Republic of Kosovo Albulena Haxhiu has honored American Colonel A. J. Berg with the Presidential Military Medal, in recognition of his role in strengthening the strategic partnership and military cooperation between Kosovo and the United States of America.
In a post on social media, Haxhiu announced that the decoration was awarded to Berg at the end of his term as the US Defense Attaché in Kosovo.

She expressed gratitude to Colonel Berg for his dedication in supporting the development and modernization of the Kosovo Security Force, as well as for encouraging interinstitutional cooperation and strengthening defense ties between the two countries.
“Today I had the pleasure of decorating Colonel A. J. Berg with the Presidential Military Medal, as a sign of appreciation for his outstanding contribution to strengthening the strategic partnership and military cooperation between the Republic of Kosovo and the United States of America,” Haxhiu wrote.
