North Macedonia’s Ministry of Interior said that yesterday, on 08.07.2026, at around 20:00, at the “Deve Bair” border crossing, while leaving the country, Ç.A. (40) from the Republic of Albania was deprived of his liberty.
According to the statement, during the border check and inspection of the “Volvo” transport vehicle with Albanian license plates that he was driving, 24 packages of marijuana were found and seized in the truck cabin.

“The public prosecutor has been notified about the case, while Ç.A. was held at a police station for further proceedings,” the Ministry of Interior said.
