Greek authorities were placed on alert on Sunday afternoon after an unidentified person called the Parliament’s central number and reported that a bomb had been planted inside the building.

According to preliminary information, the caller, a man, warned that an explosion would occur but did not specify a particular time or deadline for when it might take place.
After receiving the report, authorities were immediately deployed to Parliament, while the Explosive Ordnance Disposal Unit (TEEM) began checking and searching the premises.
So far, the roads near the building have not been blocked. No suspicious object has been reported during the searches conducted.
Police are trying to determine whether the threat is real or a false alarm, while the searches continue.
