A small aircraft crashed near Gundelsheim, in the state of Baden-Württemberg in southwestern Germany, killing two people.

German police said that neither of the two people on board survived.
After the crash, the aircraft caught fire. Emergency services rushed to the scene and brought the blaze under control.
German media reported that the aircraft was preparing to land on a runway near Gundelsheim when, for reasons still unknown, it attempted to take off again.
During the maneuver, it first struck a fence and then a tree before crashing into a vineyard.
The flames severely damaged the aircraft, while its registration markings were completely destroyed. For this reason, the authorities have not yet made the identities of the two victims public.
Air safety investigators arrived at the scene and began examinations to determine the causes and circumstances of the accident.
The investigation is ongoing, while the names of the victims are expected to be released after the identification procedures are completed.
