With its 74 votes and in the absence of the opposition, the Socialist majority decided that the session to fast-track consideration of a loan agreement with the US to finance military equipment would be held without the media present.

Speaker of Parliament Niko Peleshi said the session would be closed only during discussions on the bill, while the vote itself would be open.
This was opposed by Mundësia Party MP Agron Shehaj, who, together with Erald Kapri, was the only opposition lawmaker in the chamber.
Meanwhile, the Democratic Party did not participate, having said earlier that the opposition supported the agreement but opposed the procedure.
