Agon Bytyqi will continue to serve as deputy director of the Kosovo Intelligence Agency for another five-year term.
The announcement was made by acting President Albulena Haxhiu.

According to her, the decision was made together with acting Prime Minister Albin Kurti, who signed it jointly with her.
“His experience, knowledge of the institution and the responsibility he demonstrated during his first term are important for the continuity and professional work of AKI in protecting the country’s security.
We thanked Mr. Bytyqi for his work so far and wished him success in the new term,” Haxhiu wrote.
