Adriatik Dosti Levels Allegations of Secret Leaks from the BIA and a Network of Collaborators in Kosovo

Following the arrest of Fatmir Sheholli, Adriatik Dosti has responded with strong allegations against Serbia’s secret service, the BIA, claiming that information has been leaked from the agency and that individuals linked to it are operating in Kosovo.

According to Dosti, the list of suspects includes Kosovo-based media outlets, journalists, politicians, businesspeople and officials who are alleged to have been recruited or financed by Serbia. He is calling on Kosovo’s institutions to use the situation to investigate the claims and uncover the suspected spy networks.

However, these allegations have not been officially confirmed.

Dosti writes that concern has prevailed for several days in Belgrade at the offices of the BIA, Serbia’s national intelligence service.

According to him, about a week before Fatmir Sheholli’s arrest in Kosovo, where he was described as a spy and collaborator of Serbia, clashes and accusations over the leaking of Top Secret information began within Serbia’s secret structures. The data is alleged to be connected to the BIA and its Albanian collaborators in Kosovo.

Dosti claims that three senior officials of Serbia’s BIA are now accused of leaking Top Secret information from the agency’s offices and sending it to an unknown destination.

He stresses that, due to political clashes and dissatisfaction with Aleksandar Vučić, the information was allegedly handed over as a political tool to opponents of the Serbian president. The latter have long publicly accused Vučić of financing and conducting covert activities in Kosovo.

According to the claims, the matter involves financing, payments and sponsorships provided to specific entities and individuals, including Albanian-speaking politicians, members of parliament and journalists. These people are alleged to have been recruited by the Serbian secret service and to be acting in its interests, to the detriment of Kosovo and its citizens.

Dosti refers to an anonymous source whose identity is not disclosed for understandable reasons, while emphasizing that the information has not yet been officially confirmed and remains pending publication.

According to this source, the same list also includes at least 8-10 journalists, analysts and commentators from Albanian-language media who are alleged to have been paid and recruited by Serbia to serve the BIA.

The most serious allegations, the claim continues, concern politicians, members of parliament, businesspeople and senior police, government and state officials in Kosovo over the past 10-15 years. They are alleged to have been placed at Serbia’s service in exchange for payments and for various political or illegal business interests.

In his response, Dosti calls on Kosovo to investigate the matter as quickly and thoroughly as possible. He suggests that Fatmir Sheholli be questioned in order to uncover, as he puts it, the network of suspected individuals operating inside the country.

He adds that Albanians have suffered from such cases in the past as well, and calls on Kosovo, as well as Albin Kurti, to show courage in confronting these allegations and putting an end to the suspected activities of agents, spies and traitors.
