Through this partnership, ADGF will provide credit guarantees to support lending by ABI Bank to eligible businesses, helping them overcome collateral-related constraints that may hinder their access to financing. The cooperation aims to enable entrepreneurs to invest in their businesses, strengthen their operations and take advantage of growth opportunities.
Micro and small businesses play an essential role in the Albanian economy, supporting employment and local development. However, access to financing remains a challenge for many enterprises with viable business plans and the ability to repay loans. By covering part of the lending risk, ADGF guarantees can help overcome this obstacle and facilitate financing through partner financial institutions.
The new agreement builds on ADGF’s longstanding cooperation with NOA and continues this relationship through ABI Bank, while maintaining a particular focus on the financing needs of smaller businesses.
“Through this partnership with ABI Bank, we aim to make financing more accessible to more micro and small businesses. Our role is to help viable enterprises overcome collateral-related barriers so that they can invest, grow and contribute to employment and local economic development,” said Gertjana Drita, Executive Director of ADGF.
The agreement further expands ADGF’s network of partner financial institutions and supports its mission to improve access to financing for micro, small and medium-sized enterprises in Albania whose financial needs are not being adequately met.
ADGF and ABI Bank look forward to working together to turn this cooperation into concrete opportunities for the businesses and communities they serve. /albeu.com/
