A fire broke out this morning in the Vlladaja locality, in the Municipality of Dojran, and according to the Crisis Management Center (QMK), it remains active.
As announced by the QMK unit in Gevgelija, the case was reported at around 10:00. Two firefighting vehicles from the “Dojran” voluntary firefighters’ association, with five firefighters, have been deployed to the scene, along with a special vehicle from the Gevgelija Firefighting Unit with three firefighters.

A police vehicle is also in the area, securing the scene.
According to the Central Firefighting Department in Gevgelija, the flames have engulfed a forest of fir trees, while the wind is helping the fire spread in several directions. So far, it has not spread into the territory of neighboring Greece, but it remains very close to the border line.
Greek media in neighboring Kukush have also reported on the incident, saying the fire can also be seen from their side of the border.
