An Amazon Boeing 767-300 cargo plane lost control after landing at Miami International Airport and ended up off the runway, where it collided with several vehicles near the airport.
The crash caused a chaotic situation, as the plane caught fire and plumes of smoke spread across the area.

Videos posted on social media show the large aircraft near a road, off the runway area, as flames engulf part of it. American media report that there are injured people from the incident.
The local fire department announced that emergency crews found a plane on fire after the collision. According to the same source, firefighters are continuing efforts to extinguish the fire, while many injuries have been reported at the scene.
The U.S. Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) stated that the plane “exited the runway after landing at Miami International Airport around 2:00 p.m. local time.”
The plane had departed from Luis Muñoz Marín International Airport in San Juan, Puerto Rico.
After the accident, the airport’s runways were temporarily closed. Authorities have launched an investigation to determine the causes of the incident and to ascertain the number of people affected.
