80 Days of Protests and Resistance: Citizens Demand Edi Rama’s Unconditional Resignation

“We stand for Albania, not for the party” is one of the chants heard during protesters’ march through the streets of Tirana.

For 80 consecutive days, Albanians have been calling for Prime Minister Edi Rama to step down. The protest has continued with an unusual and unprecedented duration, determination and steadfastness.

During the march, protesters chanted: “Arrest Rama, arrest Balluku,” “Without young people there is no Albania,” and “Your time is up.”
