The civic protest against the government and the political class will continue today, entering its 72nd day. Citizens are expected to gather in Skënderbej Square, from where they will then march toward the Prime Minister’s Office.

The protesters’ main demand remains the resignation of Prime Minister Edi Rama.
The protest, which initially began in opposition to a project to build a tourist resort in Zvërnec, has expanded in the following weeks to include other political demands.
During the 71st protest, held the previous day, chants against the main political leaders could also be heard. One of the slogans repeatedly shouted by the protesters was: “Rama in prison, Berisha in prison.”
The organizers and participating citizens have stated that the gatherings will continue in the coming days, with the aim of increasing participation and pressure on the government until their demands are met.
