A 60-year-old Albanian national was arrested on Friday afternoon by officers from the Immigration Management Department in Thermi.

An arrest warrant had been issued against him by the Thessaloniki Investigating Officer for a property offense, while Interpol had also issued a “Red Notice” in connection with a fraud case committed in Albania in 2014.
According to police authorities, the 60-year-old had been sentenced to three years in prison for this offense.
Following his arrest, he was handed over to the competent judicial authorities, which will proceed with the next steps.
