Although the number of participants was small, citizens continue to oppose the administrative and territorial reform proposed by the Socialist Party, which envisions the merger of Divjaka with Lushnja.
Among the speakers was Ardjan Koçi, the former director of Divjaka-Karavasta Park. He had resigned several years ago following pressure related to his position, after refusing to carry out the minister’s orders to allow construction in Divjaka Park.
Koçi came specially from Germany to join the protest, where he criticized the government and local leaders in his statements.
The protest concluded with citizens marching through the city’s streets, marking the 42nd day of resistance in Divjaka.
