42 fires registered in open areas in Macedonia, five still active

The Crisis Management Center (CMC) announced that 42 fires were recorded across the country in the last 24 hours. Of these, five remain active, five have been brought under control, and 32 have been extinguished.

Updated data as of 7:30 a.m. shows that active fires have been reported near the villages of Graçani and Nikishtan in the Municipality of Gjorçe Petrov. Also active is the fire in the territory of Kosovo, as well as the one in the Ramno area, near the village of Brest in the Municipality of Çuçer-Sandevë. Active fire situations have also been reported in the area between the villages of Burinec, Lokovë, and Selcë, in the vicinity of Struga, near the village of Belicë in the Municipality of Makedonski Brod, and near the village of Miletinë in the Municipality of Brvenicë.

Under control are the hotspots near the villages of Knezhino and Dobrenoec, as well as near the village of Tajmishte in the Municipality of Kërçovë. Also in this state are the fire near the village of Kopanicë in the Municipality of Saraj, the fire at the city landfill in Dellçevë, and the one between the villages of Rugjincë and Orah in the Municipality of Nagoriçanë e Vjetër.
